How this website handles information.
This notice describes the data used by the current QualityCert website and certificate portal.
Certificate lookup
When a visitor submits a Certificate ID, the website uses that value to search the certificate database and return the matching record, if one exists. The public result can include the organization name, Certificate ID, certificate status and whether file access is available.
Certificate downloads
When an eligible certificate is downloaded, the application can update the record’s download count and last-download timestamp for administrative reporting. Certificate files are delivered only when the record meets the configured access conditions.
Website sessions and security
The application uses a functional session cookie for security features such as form-token validation. The administrator area also uses the session to maintain authenticated access. These cookies support website operation rather than advertising.
Administrator information
Administrator account details are stored in the application database. Passwords are stored as password hashes rather than plain-text passwords.
Contact page
The current public contact page does not submit an enquiry form into the certificate database. If you contact QualityCert through a published email address, that communication is handled through the applicable email service rather than the certificate-record table.
Server and hosting logs
The web server or hosting provider may create technical logs as part of normal hosting, security and troubleshooting operations. The content and retention of those logs depend on the hosting environment.
Third-party services
The current website package does not include advertising trackers or a public analytics integration. If additional third-party services are introduced, this notice should be updated to describe the data they process.
